I just have a few questions about housing. I'd like to maximize my chance of being on Central/The Hill as a freshman. I know that many many freshman do get placed on North, however.

If my main priority is being on central campus, should I put Group C (double, baits two-room double with bath, baits double with bath, oxford two room triple with private bath, oxford two room quad with private bath, oxford two room quad) or Group D (triple, quad, fletcher two-room triple) for my first choice?

What about single corridor gender vs. coed corridor gender? (What residencies are the coed corridors in, anyways?)

And, lastly, like I said, I know the possibility of being on North campus is quite large. Is Baits or Bursley a better choice for my 2nd pick campus neighbor?

Any input is much appreciated!

The all female halls- there are 2, Martha Cook and another?- are on Central. I’m saving a lottt of money by living in an apartment (& probably a lot of hastle too).

Your best chance to land on Central is to apply to the Lloyd Hall Scholars program. There are some minimum class requirements you need to complete and you have to write an essay but if you are selected you will be in Couzens which was recently remodeled. Below is a list of the LC (Learning Communities) and the dorms they are in.

I have a separate question about housing, I’m surprised I never filled out anything specific about roommates in the housing applications…only if they were smokers or not basically. I didn’t miss anything right for example like times I go to bed/wake up etc…

Hey guys is it cheaper to rent out an apartment from a student for the spring/summer half terms, or are dorms cheaper?

Much cheaper to sublet and apartment. It may be tough socially for an incoming freshman. It would be easier to meet people in the dorm.
