So the website says two different things...one page says to go to the Accepted Students Website to make dorm preference (which my son already did). Then on another page it says to go to the Housing Web site (which doesn't seem to work).

He isn't changing his preference, and doesn't have a roommate request.

Does he still need to go on the Housing Web site?

Use the housing link that was sent to the student’s email recently. It was http://housingweb.tulane.edu (but that link is not currently working for me either - maybe contact Housing tomorrow). We were told that the dorm preferences made when the student said “yes” don’t count.

If there is no roommate request, just leave that part blank. There is also emergency/evacuation info to fill out.

OK thanks. On the page that directs you to that link, it says:

“HousingWeb may not be accessed through Firefox or Apple operating systems Safari or other Apple Browsers. You MUST use Internet Explorer and meet the requirements set forth in the PDF Guide above.”

Since there is no IE for the Mac I assumed we were screwed. Now, my son claimed to have done this before he left for camp but I’m just trying to confirm that he doesn’t think what he did on the ASW is enough.

The links still don’t work, even with the new email that came out this morning. We had to send an email with “Update My Preferences” in the subject line.

For those who successfully submitted their housing preferences, did you receive a confirmation email? I guess there is a lot of confusion on the Tulane Facebook page about this. My daughter submitted her info and the screen said it received it but she is concerned since she did not receive a confirmation email. Did others get an email?

Son was able to log in and successfully make preference choices. Not sure if he received a confirmation e-mail. May have him go back on site to see if preferences stuck!

DS said that he went on but that it was very confusing. He said that the hurricane plan form was not what they were shown at orientation. He thinks that he filled it out right, but he’s not positive.
Question, if they went random for the roommate, when will they hear who the roommate is? And which dorm?

I think they send something between mid-July and early August, IIRC. I know they allow enough time for the students to communicate with each other and figure out who has what already, like if one is going to bring a TV or a large rug for the room, things such as that. I think it is separate from the move-in package that has the FedEx and mailing instructions, but maybe it was all together.
