How can I ride the UCSD Shuttle this week if I don't have an official ID yet?

I want to to tour the campus (and do this in addition to the walking tour). But I don't want to have to pay the $16 daily car parking rate that the Gilman Parking Structure charges for all-day parking. So, if I want to take the Campus Shuttle, do I just need to pay the campus bus driver? If not, how can I go about doing this?

Also: Does the San Diego public MTS Superloop Shuttle go THROUGH the UCSD campus and its colleges, or only on neighboring streets (i.e. like La Jolla Village Dr and Nobel Dr.)?

basically anyone can ride the UCSD shuttles. there are always families on the shuttles in the morning when they come to take tours.

Thanks Experiment8

Now does anyone know the answer to the second question – about the MTS Superloop Shuttle and UCSD?

^There are multiple bus routes that will take you to campus.

Park your car on regents, get on the Arriba shuttle, dont even bother showing an ID. Just walk on like you know what you are doing, if the driver asks just say you lost your ID. If you look like a student you’ll be fine.

Also, other parking structures cost less, Gilman is double the regular rate I think

Park in Pangea its only $8 per day

superloop runs through surrounding areas and the campus stop is at gilman across from leightag, near PC and the gilman parking structure. it does not run through any of the ucsd colleges.

also you’d have to pay for the superloop shuttle (i think it was about 2 dollars?) since as you don’t have your id yet, im guessing you don’t have the sticker that UCSD students use to ride for free
