How concerned are you about financial aid?

Well…topic says it all!

I’m somewhat concerned. I know we can’t afford to pay $45,000 a year for college, so I’m heavily relying on scholarships or financial aid grants/deferred loans to help pay for things if I get admitted. I’m apply EDII as I’ve heard it increases your chances of getting aid.

Does anyone care to post known aid offerings and stats for accepted students?

If financial aid is an issue, you should not apply EDII which is binding. Have you calculated your family's EFC? Unless you already have a few scholarships locked away, I strongly suggest you apply RD so you can compare financial aid offers from several schools in April.

Yea, I figured that in September, so I wrote them about it, and this is what I got back (Their own words):

"If you apply for Early Decision II and submit your financial aid forms by the January 1st application deadline, you will be given priority consideration for financial aid and receive your financial aid decision along with your admissions decision in mid-February. Should your financial aid package not meet your financial need, you are welcome to decline our offer of admission and leave your applications at other institutions open, but this will end your application process at Boston University. Should other Universities also not meet your financial needs, we will not be able to reconsider you for admission or allow you to attend in the fall. I hope that this answers your question. Should you have any more, please do not hesitate to contact me again. "

So going by that, it seems it's not as binding as it seems...?
