It will be interesting to see how the state’s current budget problems affects the answer to your question. Apparently, none of the thousands of students offered positions on UCSD’s wait list over the past two years were admitted–but this year may be different.
UC President Napolitano and Governor Brown are still jockeying for position as they confront a budget crisis. The interesting aspect of this for you is that this year more students may be accepted from waiting lists.
““Absent additional funding, UC is not in a financial position to absorb more California students beyond those we currently serve. As such, campuses have been instructed to keep their enrollment of California students flat, meaning that we are not in a position to add additional California resident students for whom there is no additional state support,” Napolitano told an Assembly budget subcommittee on education finance.

@MsSunday OH MY GOD. your stats are MUCH better than mine. lol, my dad just came home and he was also disappointing, but didnt yell or anything.
My dad would rather let me go to UCSB or UCR than UCD actually. They are much closer to my house than UCD. So I am not that worried, but I am sure that your parents will understand that there is really not much you can do.
@MsSunday yeah im considering between going to uiuc and cal poly. uiuc is 50k for me (which may parents are willing to pay), but honestly i dont see any reason in going there with a 50k price tag. it seems like we all got thrown under the bus though…

@MsSunday im probably not going to get financial aid to ANY school becuase my parents income is high. cal poly would be around 25k i assume… not sure though.
@finallyfree Well, I guess you will have research to do before May 1st. I just told my parents about the waitlist to prep them for UCLA and UCB…
@finallyfree : Yes. I am surprised that you are in wait list for both schools. Particularly in Davis. Your stats are good and unless I am missing something about UCD 2015, you should have got admission in at least one of them if not both.

Wow that’s pretty surprising. I got a 1690 sat but with 4.2 uc GPA 10 ap classes and got in for biochemistry. I barely had any ecs

@finallyfree I like arsenal in BPL and schalke in bundesliga. Schalke junge means Schalke boy or schalke youth. I hate chelsea. btw my first football shirt was a black Liverpool one and I love gerrard.
@finallyfree Dude we have nearly the same stats only a couple points off (I have 33 ACT) and I just got WL to both as well. Got my essays read by readers for UC and they liked it. Had some neat EC’s and was surprised by a double WL. Bummer. Wish ya the best
@SchalkeJunge oh nice! i find it very hard to find fellow BPL fans in my area (san jose), and those that are are NEVER liverpool fans. mostly man u, chelsea, and arsenal.
