<p>It depends on the school. At my school, we had cable TV. We could have a TV in our room, but a lot of students went to our common areas (which had flat screens) to watch TV. I don’t think that we had HBO in the basic cable TV package (which was free), but they provided the information for the upgraded option (which was not free).</p>
<p>I would stay away from illegally downloading your TV shows. We were warned during our orientation that it is incredibly easy for the college to track IP addresses (since they were specific to our dorm room). </p>
<p>I’m personally fond of Netflix, Hulu, and iTunes.</p>
