How do I apply for FINAID?

all this time, i've been focusing on SATs, grades and things that I don't know anything about the application process itself.

As an international, how do I apply for fin.aid? which forms do I use? common app? I noticed in the common app, i NEED(?) to provide a SSN if im applying for aid but what do I do if im international?

What is FAFSA? is this relevant to international students like myself?

again, if anybody could please inform me of the forms, process, and things I should keep in mind when applying for aid... thanks!

FAFSA is for US citizens and eligible non US citizens (mainly green card holders). It is not relevant to international students.

You need to check with the schools you are applying to. The information about how to apply for financial aid should be readily available on their web sites.

Where do Canadians belong?

I just went on Harvard’s aid site and they have grouped US citizens and Canadians together. I clicked on the link and it says a whole buncha stuff about FAFSA…does this mean FAFSA is relevant for Canadians?

I heard numerous times that Canadians are given the same consideration and reviewed under same criteria for finaid. Is this true?

Canadians are not eligible to receive Title IV federal aid, which is what the FAFSA is generally used for. I don’t know what Harvard does for Canadians … maybe they have you fill out the Profile? ASK THEM!!
