How do you keep track of your EC's? Is there a program out there that you can keep track of what you did each week, for how long, etc? Or does anybody have a nice excel/word template that they use to record that stuff for?

Thanks

no. why would i do that? for college apps, you're supposed to approximate how much you spend (weekly?) on each activity.

By not having like 5 billion of them.

Yeah, what? They ask for an approximation, and you should know how many hours per week you spend doing each of your ECs without any templates...

nono it's not for college..i'd just like to keep track so that in a few years i can look back and be like "oh yea, i remember that i did XYZ"

I have a folder dedicated to each one of my E.C.s, mainly because I'm an officer in most of them and I need to submit a report of what has been done every few weeks.

I don't keep track. I figure if I don't remember is well, it's not even worth putting on an app. In fact, I applied Stanford EA and put some stuff down, but for the other apps I am currently working on right now, I realized I had some additional ECs - ones worth putting on an app, too. Oh well

a big looong list

I have a list in a computer notepad. I update and erase on a regular basis. I do this because I have a very slippery long term memory. Record hours, specifics, and significance. It will help organize your thoughts later. You will have enough to think about when you are writing your apps.

Diary ?

I just wrote down a couple of clubs i was involved in, in 10th grade, on a scrap piece of paper - to see how I compared with other cc'ers - just like, "volunteered at hospital 50 hrs during break". And then the year after, I found the scrap paper while I was cleaning out my desk and I wrote down the ones I was involved in 11th grade. And i found it again this year.
It helped me so much with college apps. There were some important things there that I completely forgot about..
