How Far Away Is Your College From Home?

<p>About 300 miles for now, but the school I'm hoping to transfer to for sophmore year is about 2150 miles away (roughly a 31 hour drive).</p>

<p>About 7 miles. Luckily, that school also happens to have a top 10 graduate program in my field of study.</p>

<p>35 minutes. I used to think it was way too close, but it's not too bad really. I'll probably be going to grad school about 4 or 5 hours away though.</p>

<p>mine's about 1000 miles from home. And, it was sorta scary at first (like right after my parents left), but it got waaaaaaay easier after I got to know some people.</p>

<p>And I go home all the time (for my dad's birthday, thanksgiving, christmas, mom's birthday, etc) so it's not that bad.</p>

<p>3-4 hours depending on traffic. Although I don't plan on taking a car, so I'm going to use Amtrak back and forth, which is a bit longer, at 4 1/2 hours. </p>

<p>It is nice because I wont always want to come home, and I'm shy by nature, so I know if it was closer I'd retreat home all the time :).</p>

<p>15 minutes, it's a top liberal arts college too, so it's convenient and I'm happy with it. :)</p>

<p>My D is exactly 188 miles from home!!!:) It takes 3 hours and 15 minutes with no traffic and I frequently go to visit for the day and then come home. I miss her sometimes and she doesn't mind the visit to shop and go out to dinner. My S is looking at colleges 1000 miles away!!! :(</p>
