How Far Away Is Your College From Home?

45 minutes away. I really hope my parents don't visit me too much. That would suck.

I don't hate my parents it just that it won't feel like I'm independent if they come visit me every week. I plan on visiting once every two months or less. It's Boston and there's a lot to do.

1 city block. I'm not kidding. I was opposed to my home-town school for that very reason, but the more I looked into it the more I realized that the full ride scholarship and strength in my major more than made up for it. Now I'm really excited to move into the not-quite-a-mile away dorms.

I'm 1600 miles away (about 24 hr drive according to google maps, or about 5 hrs on a plane since there's no direct flights). I don't mind it, though I really miss my puppy. Last year, I was home for two weeks during winter break, 2 days during spring break, and 1 week after the end of spring semester. And I probably won't be going home again until Christmas.

1100 miles

Not too scary. I have a very independent nature. I adjusted quickly too.

About 350 miles.

I'm 10 minutes away....which sucks because i wish i was out-of-state, but on the other hand, the convenience of a nearby home more than makes up for it

11 hours away by a plane. Half way around the globe. The perfect distance. LOL LOL jk. I rather be a little bit closer to home.

About thirty minutes.

2.5 hours by car

750 miles --

2 hours by plane (on a rare direct flight) or 4 hours with a lay-over (more common)

11 hours by car (when it's not raining and the traffic is good [no comment on how fast I drive])--14 hours by car in all other circumstances

20 mins...im still dorming thoughh

aw it makes me happy knowing that if i get homesick i can go back no prob!

190 miles from my house, about 2.5-3 hours by car

About 500 miles, not horrible, but definitely far enough away from the cities of New England.

1300, 20 hours driving or 2 and a half by plane

Over 5427 miles. I'm going from Hawaii to Rutgers. Not to mention a few extra miles from my house to the airport, and from Newark Airport (my last arrival) to the New Brunswick campus.

I don't know the exact number, maybe the longest distance you can imagine.

2000 miles

If I go to Rutgers, about 45 minutes.

A bit over a four hour drive (250 miles or so)

400 miles/ 8 hours/ 1 Hour plane ride.

but my school is in the corner of New England, which is really hard to find
