Yeah same, I can’t wait to get out of this area! I’ve been here since my freshmen year of high school…and thats long enough for me.

Tekierz, are you going to Transfer Admit Day?

hey tekierz you go to scc or arc??

I go to arc for most my classes and sierra for one, I’m probably going to transfer admit day, unless something huge happens and I can’t make it.

oh foreall koo, i got to scc, i havent met people tranferring out this sem. its my first and only semester there. are you driving to admit day, thats like 10 hours of driving lol

Yeah, this is only my second semester at arc, and most of the people I’ve talked to are trying to transfer to csus or ucd. But yeah I’m probably driving down thursday or friday, and I’m gonna crash in my best friends dorm. It’s a long drive, but its probably cheaper then flying…

Flights are actually pretty cheap at the moment, I am flying down and it was $120 from Sacramento Airport… I’m excited for admit day! Just one step closer to actually being at UCSD. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Edit: $120 round-trip, by the way. Lol.

Oh, damn thats not too bad…

yeah too much love for davis haha… and its raining again…i hate it when it rains here. it seems to never stop…

daymmm dats a good deal, i assume you already bought your tickets?? my decision is still pending but sd is my first choice. cmonnnnnnnn!!!

i say shell out the extra cash and fly via southwest… you’re gonna fork over ~80 for gas anyways, why not pay a little more for leisure, convenience, and time!

i live in LA but im going to drive down to sd… it’s a good 110 miles for me.

i was looking on craigslist yesterday for UCSD housing and they had some nice ads for around $600 right near the campus. i’m thinking of staying at the transfer dorms for a semester, meeting new people, and then moving out

I’m probably staying a year in dorms then next year I’ll most into an apartment.

but yeah, its not raining by me in roseville yet but there’s alot of overcast so i wouldn’t be surprised if it started raining soon.

Seriously though everyone here is horny for davis! I mean its a good school and everything, but I just graduated high school and for now thats a bit too close. UCSD’s my first choice too and I’m also pending.

haha daym were all assuming we get into the transfer housing…lol…isnt there like a lottery?? i hope im lucky enough to randomly win a spot…
i dont want to live outside of the school since ive never stepped foot in sd…and i know practically nobody…

about the $600 apt…is that like by yourself?? that would be awesome…

i barely moved here and im tired of all the davis talk already…haha

Nah dude, a studio will probably cost you 1000 a month at least. The thing that bothers me the most about these on campus places is that they don’t let you use torrents. They’ll monitor your stuff essentially, and if you don’t use a private tracker(I don’t even know *** that is) you will get caught.

who uses torrents anymore? that is sooooooo 2007.

No way?!?! What do you use? I thought torrents were still hot.

I still use torrents all the time! I’ve been overloading on movies and music downloads just so I have enough to last me the year over there!

I was thinking of going home over the weekend and getting the stuff I needed.

I mean in the end, if I don’t win the lottery, I won’t be so sad because of this torrent situation. 1000 housing spaces out of 1600 transfers though, that’s a pretty decent shot if you ask me. I doubt many of them will even want to live on campus, it’s so damned expensive.

Yeah, and alot of the older transfers are probably just going to stay off campus or commute. So I think almost everyone should make it in. They might even have additional spaces left over.

use rapidshare or megaupload, i split an account with 2 other friends and for 2 months its $15. sure, you have to pay but the speeds are ridiculously fast. with torrents the fastest i get is probably around 300mg/s if im lucky. when i download off rapidshare or megaupload i can get 1200mg/s (3 files downloading simultaneously). true story – i once downloaded a full movie (dvdrip) in 6 minutes.

Seems like they don’t have as much stuff on there though. I mean my account let’s me use his RS account, but every time I use a RS search engine I get less results than torrent search engines. Especially for the more obscure stuff.
