How high GPA it needs to transfer to GT

I am a student of GPC. I know if I want to transfer to Georgia Tech through RETP, it needs a minimum GPA of 3.0. Since I want to choose Industrial engineering as my major, I'm not sure a GPA of 3.0 is enough. How high GPA they need to transfer safely?

Bump Bump Bump

I thought RETP was guaranteed transfer is it not?

RETP is a guaranteed transfer if you have the minimum 3.0. If you apply as a regular transfer you are compared competitvely and that GPA average is 3.7/3.8

But can I choose major free if I transfer though RETP? Ty!

@tjyhgb You must major in an engineering degree to transfer through RETP. A CS major, for example, would not be eligible to transfer as an RETP student.

Ye, my major is engineering. But I want to know if I can choose any engineering major. For example, can I choose Industrial engineering if my GPA is just higher than 3.0? @jm1992

@tjyhgb Absolutely, RETP covers all engineering majors offered at Tech from aerospace to nuclear engineering. As long as you complete your requisite coursework with a 3.0 college GPA or better your acceptance is guaranteed.
