How important are AP's?

Hey guys. I'm going to 11th grade this year, and having a hard time deciding to take APUSH (US history) or not. I don't really have any interest in it; i just signed up for more AP's, in which case I have 4 including APUSH. There's no chance I will major in history or anything close, so is more AP classes that important?

No, don’t take it if you’re not interested.

So taking 3 instead of 4 APs won’t matter significantly? I don’t wanna make it seem like I’m not trying my hardest or anything.

It won’t look as rigorous, but trust me, you’re wasting time for yourself if you take an AP you don’t like. APUSH does involve quite a lot of effort if you’re not a history buff so it’s not one of the joke AP’s.

There is an enormous difference between having 1 AP or 2 APs.
There is a small difference between 3 or 4.
After 3 your set

take it if you think you can get an A. Colleges look to see if you took all the hardest classes available, but its not worth getting a B in.

Thanks guys. I think i’ll drop it; the time can be spent better elsewhere.
