How is IUB-Kelley for internationals?

I am an international student who spent the last four years at an high school in Ohio.

I am really outgoing and love playing basketball and any other sports. I will definitley try to be outgoing at IUB as well. Honestly, do you think I will feel comfortable at IUB? I am a bit worried beause it's a small town and it may not be as diverse as Washington DC or California area..

What's your opinion guys?
Also I am goning to bring a car to the campus.. of course I wont drive between the schools, but just for the weekend! Do you think it will be a pain in the neck to bring a car?

Alright, first a joke that I overheard.

“What would happen if there were no Asians here at IU? Well, first off, there wouldn’t be all those nice cars driving around. Second, half the Kelley school would be gone.”

So, since you didn’t really say where internationally you are from, I can’t really help you that much, but if you are Asian, you will find plenty of people. And even if you aren’t, there are clubs for so many ethnicity that you will find people who are like yourself. Or, if you don’t want that, there are plenty of people other groups of people to hang out with. Being outgoing is a major plus, and you should definitely try to be for the first bit of college, so that you won’t feel lost or excluded out of groups that will be forming.

Second, your car. Make sure you apply for a parking pass. If you don’t get a “D” permit, you will get an “E” and will have to park at the stadium and walk back or take the bus back. Having a “D” permit puts your right next to your dorm and makes it convenient. If your not planning on driving during the week though, then maybe an “E” pass wouldn’t be that bad.

Thanks !
