HI ! Your essay is great , HOWEVER, I think it deserves a 3/6 .
Vocabulary : Good
Grammar : Good
I’m not sure of the lenght of the essay but I assume it’s short, and since this plays an important role in grade-awarding,
it will affect your score.
The second remark I have would be about the content of the essay. First, I think 1 example is not sufficient .Second, the single example provided is not fully relevant to the ASSIGNMENT. That is disastrous. You wrote your essay based on the prompt but you should’ve followed the ASSIGNMENT. Let that sink into your mind.

Conclusion : Increase length of essay and relevance of examples. Good luck

I am a beginner at marking essays and I’m just trying my best.

@DandoonS, thanks!

My essay fills up ALL the space given, so I don’t think it’s too short but everyone keeps telling me it is
I’ll try to include another example, and the assignment/prompt tip has very likely saved me

Organization:3 Some transitions, but paragraphs aren’t great.
Grammar: 4 some mistakes
Thesis: 2 You imply your argument, but you don’t actually state it. And in fact, your implied argument doesn’t answer the question.properly: you don’t mention anything about the conscience.
Diction: 4
Sentence Variety: 3

Overall: 3 Honestly, I believe it’s more of a 5/12 than a 6/12 as my score would say. I’m not convinced that your essay covers all space given, unless you use large handwriting and actually skip the lines shown in your link.

You need to memorize some historical and literary examples. Personal examples should be used for backup purposes only. As the above poster said, you will need more examples, specifically 3, to maximize your scores. (Most argue 2 is enough, but I stick with 3)

Some less important tips: Use transitions; use clear paragraphs, each on one single topic; write a longer introduction and conclusion; use hooks in the introduction.

Finally, your essay actually looks like a pretty good paragraph. You need to write 3 of these, plus the introduction and conclusion. Yes, you should have enough time to do so, and yes, you should have enough space to do so.
