How long does it take for TAMU to make a decision on non-auto admit students?

Just wondering, as my cousin applied this year as a review admit and got an email that they were reviewing his application about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks!

I talked to a TAMU admissions counselor about the same issue when she came to my school, and she stated that it maybe be early February to march depending on how competitive the application is.

It depends on the individual and their individual qualifications.
Some review admits are accepted right away. The earlier the application is in, the better your chances as a review admit.
Some review admits are accepted in late April - mid May. Last year it went on into June if I remember correctly.

I was a review admit who applied in late August. I got accepted the day before Thanksgiving! Can’t wait to be the loudest, proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2015 :)

My friend applied to Texas A&M Sept. 7th and was accepted Oct. 20th as a review admit. His school didn’t send a rank, but he was ranked by Texas A&M in the 2nd quarter by the school profile. SAT (Math 800, CR 660, Writing 750) Subject tests - Math II 800, Physics 800, World History 750. Eagle Scout - Varsity sport captain - many hours of community service

I was a review admit. I submitted my application 11/4 and got my acceptance 12/8.

@noreen505 would you mind posting your stats? i’d like to see what they are looking for in review admits

Noreen - was that for Spring or fall semester?
