How long once OSU gets everything do you hear a decision?

He applied two weeks before you, we just got word of acceptance today. And you applied a day before the deadline, so I'm sure that is what is going on.

Just an update for those interested.

11-20 "Online application received" email
12-4 "You've been admitted" phone call from a student
12-6 Acceptance letter and nice brochure arrived
12-11 Two letters: Honors College Invitation and General Admissions Next Step info

I have been amazed at how quickly all this happened considering Thanksgiving was in there.

well, still no decision, getting annoyed. Submitted Application on Oct-26 but my school didn't send anything out until nov-25 so the app was complete nov-27. i just want to find out now.

mredsox89.. I know it is hard to wait for a decision, as my sons' app. was complete on 11/28, and he is getting irritated too. Try to keep busy and not think about it, and before you know it you should be a Buckeye. Good Luck!

P.S. The admissions/FYE dept cannot send or receive emails until tomorrow at the earliest, problems with their server.

My kid is still waiting, and the app was complete on 11/1 (ACT score sent 2-3 weeks ago): 640M, 640V, 700W SATs, 31 ACT, top 1/3 of class out-of-state, 13 AP & college credits, good activities & recs. The web site just shows "evaluation." Got into Penn State, Pitt, Ohio U and several other schools, but no response from OSU! Is this a really bad sign?

If this is true, then the problem seems to be a computer problem

Would you think?

My son's Honor's invation came last evening in the mail.

I spoke to my son yesterday, he believes all of you should not worry, that you'll get in. His school has a relationship with OSU, and that may be the reason he got in so quickly.

Thanks for the update OH MOM.

If you have questions about financial aid, admissions, freshman year, etc., I recommend finding out who serves as your regional cordinator for OSU. I recently spoke to the woman who handles the Chicago area and she was most helpful in answering some basic parent questions about fees, scholarships, procedures, etc. She is also the same person who handles the school visits so she knew my D's school very well.

Yes daaaaad

Exactly what I was trying to say in my posts. The one I have been in contact is a Regional Admissions Counselor, one specifically for my son's school and I beleive others in my area. She had access to my son's records and I believe she knew who he was before I even told her, well I believe because of his application. As I was describing him, she figured it out.

question, how do i find out who my regional admissions counselor is? i tried to find it on osu.com but came up empty. i probably just missed it.

It was in his emails, I saw where the college advisor at his high school constantly sends the students reminders about college applications. In his emails, there was one forwarded to him from the regional admission counselor. Would it be possible to contact your high school and ask them to help?

I am not really monitoring his emails, it is not really like that. He gave me his password bcause I forwarded him something and we were just checking to be sure it got to him. He has this email only for the college application emails from his high school. I am sure he has a seperate email account!!

my school has no relationship with OSU so they have no contact with them other than just sending my transcript packet a few weeks ago. i figure it has to be listed on the website somewhere i just cant find it

Where are you?

Send me a pm if you like. I will email it to the person wher was helping me, my son I mean. Include enought info, that she can in turn turn it to the correct admission coordinator.

osu regional managers
Thanks jrent!!

This is only OH regional admissions reprenentatives, but it is a start. My son's is on there also.

All I've thought about over the holidays are scholarship invitations. I really hope that mine reaches my mailbox tomorrow. Auburn U, the local uni, extended full tuition to me last week, and I have yet to tell my mother. She and my stepfather want me to go there. I'm yearning for Ohio.

well, its now been a month since they recieved everything/ Anyone know what they open up again?
