do most people self study for these ap economics tests? is it safe to say that most schools (90%) don't offer ap economics courses?

im in a top 10 HS for my state and these courses are offered....

We have macro. We can take it instead of senior soc II (it might be senior soc I)...

We don't have micro, although the teacher said if we wanted to take the micro test he'll help us out a bit.

My school has micro but not macro.

My school has macro but not micro.

My school has AP Econ...we cover both macro and micro and we take both the micro and macro AP...Woohoo

I have like a 100 in that class....although I still don't really get consumer surpluses and producer surpluses. I know consumer surplus is the area below the demand curve above the line where the Peq is and producer surplus is the line above the supply curve below the Peq, but what the hell does it tell?

My school does econ only for one semester of senior year. Government is the other semester. I was screwed and was in econ second semester; the class covered macro and then micro. By the time AP exams rolled around, we had not finished micro. Thus, I only took macro... but people from first semester could have taken both.

My school only has macro but you can take micro online through FLVS.

AP Economics is offered in my school. Macro and Micro, It seems pretty easy because the teacher is really good and easy.

My school offers AP Macroeconomics first semester and AP Microeconomics second semester. You can take them during your junior or senior year. Sometimes sophomores take the classes.

My school operates on a similar basis as Central Perky's. No sophies are permitted, however.

we have economics but its a blowoff class. i was gonna self study macro but my sched is hard enough and its my sr year second semester so im taking the blowoff class

but to answer the threads title: 552
source: my a$$

My school only has regular economics which isn't great...

We have regular economics and AP Economics, which is just Macro and Micro in one class.

We only offer AP Macro (even though the higher ups at teh school don't realize that and have Micro on the AP calendar, I must go tell tehm before they order 15 of the wrong test). But, myself and a couple friends tried to get an independent study period for AP Micro, and they wouldn't let it. So I'm donig it on my own along with AP Comparative Govt.

My school's situation is the same as Central Perky's where it holds each class for a semester, allowing juniors and seniors in (out of a total of 12 AP courses in the high school). Are these classes actually rare?

thats my unanswered question

The AP Econ class at my kids' HS covers both micro & macro & the intructor is on the national committee that sets the AP macro/micro curriculum. I believe there are only seniors in the class. There is a regular econ class that is only a semester; not sure what's covered in it.

I go to a top 5 or so pub. school in PA. We only have Honors Economics which i'm taking.

Our school has a deal where you take AP Gov for a half a year and then take AP Macroeconomics for the other half. No micro though...
