how much do u guys estimate you'll spend on college application fees

....And 'if ' all your colleges waived them what would u rather use the money for(the total sum).

P.S..Money would not be returned to parents or whoever gave it to you.

Anyway i am estimating $520 nd would prefer to spend it on expanding my project/research(of course not a huge project) and also buying more chess boards and rubiks cubes.lol

Coooooooooooool

$50. I only applied to one college.

But I had waived fees at several… I just decided not to use them.

Cool story brah.

I think it was about $60. $80 if you include sending official SAT scores. I only applied to 2 colleges and one of them waived my application fee.

I spent ~$180 in total I think.

I applied to like 12 colleges.
4 of them were automatically free. I used 4 CB fee waivers, and 4 NACAC fee waivers.

$80 is out of my own pocket for sending ACT scores

$50 total I was happy lol

Rice waived my application fee, so at least that was something. I think I spent around $160 or $180. Just think about how much money these Ivy League schools make when they have 20 or 30 thousand applicants each paying $70 or $80. It’s ridiculous. Not to mention sending SAT/ACT scores and all the money you spent for sending the CSS profile to certain schools.

$600 on applications
$100 on SATs

^^or $90 in the case of Stanford (may as well be an Ivy when it comes to number of applicants)

Total test and all $750

Probably about $1,000, except all but four of mine are waived, so $240.

so the admission fee varies for different colleges? are the ivy leagues the most expensive?

emeraldtree2 - Stanford’s is the most expensive I’ve seen. $90 for them.

approximately $610 on apps.

  • $70 for sending the ACT.
  • $70 more for sending the SAT subject tests.
    Total: $750.

$140 to send my ACT and SATs
$300 so far on apps. I still have two to go totaling $115, but hopefully I’ll be able to get one of those waived.

And then I still have to send the CSS profiles…evil Collegeboard.

But I figure it will all pay off in the end if I get into a school that gives great financial aid, not to mention the job prospects.

Applied to eight schools, one with no fee.
$465 Application fees
$80 Score send fees

Over $900.
