How much do yall make during the school year?

I just wanted to get an idea on how much a college student makes during the school year. Also if you could post about how much you make during the summer. thanks guys

next summer 10k before taxes. this summer 500 bucks (i didnt work). next fall spring semester i think im getting paid like 16 dollars an hour for an emt job. im not sure though the guy was like lets see then.

10k just for a summer? and what year are u in? thanks

Just an estimate that I'll make about $2500 this summer in the eleven weeks that I'm working. At my fall job I get a small scholarship and stipends for meals when we travel, which is usually about $60-$80 for 1.5-2 days and if we don't spend it we keep it. Most trips I'll pocket $30-$40 and we have 6 trips.

In the spring I made about $1500.

I'm working 1-2 nights in the fall and 2-4 in the spring and plan to take in $80-130 per night (waiting tables).

For the 4 years that I worked in a video game store while studying (18 hrs/wk during term, more during summer) I earned an average of €12k per year, which converts to about $18k using the current exchange rate. Cost of living is higher here though.

its for a private medical research company in boston. i will be a 3rd year when i do it, they pay for housing and travel fee. i think its 10k for two months.

So yall dont think it would be that hard to get atleast 3500 for just room and board?

The past two summers I've been working on ships as a cadet.

The pay isn't good, only $850 a month, but with free room and board, and I had the opportunity to go to a dozen countries, circumnavigate the world (twice), and meet a whole lot of interesting people.

During the school year I probably make ~3-4k. This summer, I'm making $7200 before taxes (12 weeks).

I make about 350/month working 10 hours a week during the school year. So that's about 2,800. This summer I'm not working much and will end up with maybe 300.

$4,500 from my summer internship and $2,000 during the school year from odd jobs and tutoring.

So for an incoming freshman with 14 credit hours, would it be hard to get around 3500. Summer plus school year.

No .

I will have made $6,500 from an internship this summer. They also pay for my accommodation and travel, but I pay for food unless it's an official work thing. During the school year I earn about $4,500-$5,000 doing 12-15 hours per week language support and tutoring.

It depends what else you want to do with your time, what kind of job you are able to get, etc, but I think if you are motivated, it shouldn't be very difficult to earn $3,500 in summer plus school year combined.

summer research and internships are really competitive. i couldnt get any cancer research this summer so i did summer school instead.

I'll probably have made about 7-8k from august 2007-august 2008. I only work like 20 hours a week, if even that and I don't have to pay for much so it's whatever. I will pobably make $0 this school year (well I'll probably work during school breaks which is maybe like $150-200 a week). We'll see. I'm just happy that I won't be working!

I think I made $18k one year before taxes. Can't remember the split between summer and the academic year, but I worked full-time during the summer and about 15 hours ;er week during the school year.

18k what did u do?

~$3700 during the school year, $6650 this summer
