So all I am receiving is $331?

W..T..F..

yeah the gift aid is like grants and stuff. Your gift aid was only $331?! That’s so little bit. Maybe cuz your parent’s income is high. My gift aid was almost $16,000. I have to take about $9,000 loans and that includes work study. My tuition is completely covered though. :)

Gift Aid $16951
My Net Cost $7890
Loans $4500

After loans, I’m still missing $3390, but I believe cost of attendance really varies for everyone right? I mean… I know that I won’t be need $1300 for transportation.

take a bike :]
and yeh, mine wasn’t that low either haha

Gift aid - 18991 or something (plus chancellors)

loans, 4500

Essentially zero cost, except for the loans

last year this is what i received, and im waiting for this years!
Total Cost of Attendance $23,321
Parent Contribution $14,636
Student Contribution $50
Total Family Contribution $14,686

UCR GRANT $650
FEDERAL DIRECT STAFFORD LOAN $1,985

Yup basically all ur reciveing is 300 bucks, and ur loans.

I heard you can appeal your financial aid to get more money. I can’t seem to find the page to do that though. Anyone know where it is?

Thanks.

Isn’t there some kind of award revision link on the GROWL webpage?

Think you can try from there, although supposedly they only change if you tell them a change of circumstances or something

Although, mebbe they just might, I’m not sure

i just checked my growl account. is it still okay to accept the financial aid. i didn’t know it was updated and i emailed ucr about financial aid a while ago but no one responded.

wow ur a bit late That was due in may .

I got 15000 so yeah me 8000 in loans

So… I only got $300, if I want want to appeal this should I not click accept on my GROWL page?

i think you’re a bit too late…the loan acceptances were due a looong time ago
and even if you appeal i highly doubt you’ll get anything as the economy is in a horrible state and they’re even thinking about cutting UC grants by half or more for incoming freshmen

I guess and click on revise

18grand + 3500 subsidized loans

$300? I can sell my laptop for that much. In all seriousness.

Gift Aid $16,451
My Net Cost $8,390
Loans $6,390

and the financial aid people are telling me that my aid exceeded the Cost of Attendance…

to attend its only like 10k. Then theres the housing, food, and etc lol

i know but the estimate for housing is 10 k while it really its 11k to 12

So technically how much are you guys paying per year?

I’m receiving 21k Total, without the loans. (If I accepted the loans… about 32k)

And suppose your college was 50k per year times four, that’s 200k
Minus 21k. Right?
