How often do you go home on the weekends?

I was just wondering how often you go home on the weekends? I tend to go home a lot but I have stayed for one weekend. I know that sounds like a little bit off but it is much better from last year when I went home every weekend, mostly because my roommate was a terror.
This year I am living in an apartment and I have my own room. I live with three other girls ( I am the random roommate) and they are all very nice. I have gone home for each weekend mainly because I have my reasons ( I forgot stuff at home, I need to help my mom out who injured herself, etc.). Although I did stay for one weekend which was a HUGE accomplishment for me but it sucked for the most part.
I have depression and anxiety disorders that cause me to have awful thoughts if I am alone. I have friends here on campus but they are usually working all weekend and don't have the time to hang out. There are campus sponsored events but most of them are lame and the campus becomes a ghost town during the weekend.

I just want to know if I am a loser for going home so often. My apartment mates don't seem to mind as they have their own schedules. In fact one of them asked me if I was here this past weekend and I said no and she was like oh okay.

When I transferred schools, I moved back home. But when I lived in the dorms, my roommate went home every single weekend, unless she had her boyfriend come up. One of my suitemates went home every weekend as well. I went home maybe once a month (and I regret it now because I was able to get more done at home). I don’t think you’re a loser, not at all. It’s totally understandable!

No, going home on the weekends doesn’t make you a loser! It’s completely fine to want to hang out with family and friends or just unwind somewhere you feel comfortable.

I’m pretty involved on campus and I’ve gone home every weekend. I have a lot of family nearby and it’s nice to be able to go hiking or kayaking on the weekends or spend time with loved ones.

Don’t worry about it–you’re fine. Best of luck!
