How often do you guys skip school? If you're actually not feeling well? Or to finish work/ get more time to study for a test?

Fairly often.

Almost never. I literally have to be near-death to miss school..

I have a health problem that requires me to have 2 very, very painful days a month...in the past three and 1/2 years, i've missed a total of about 8-10 days...yeah. a lot of days in complete pain just trying to get through it

9th grade i missed about 20 days overall
10th grade like 18
11th 12
this year 4 so far

would have missed more last year but they have a 10 absence policy for participating in stuff so i had to wait till all my activities were over.

last year i missed 6th period calc bc 43 times though :)

I missed one day freshman year for a programming competition, one day sophomore year for a funeral, and one day last year 'cause I was sick.

I've missed 2.5 so far this year, for combinations of being sick and just really not wanting to go.

Almost never nowadays, but if it's a Friday with a Mass I might just be sick that day. ;D

Back in junior high I used to skip school every single Friday and I would go hiking and to brunch with my mum, but my current school has a really strict attendance policy (srsly, it's like miss 12 days per year and you're liable for expulsion ;O) so I try not to miss it very often.

I did miss the first 3 weeks a year or two ago because of a terrorist attack on an airport, but that's a story for another time...

I don't really miss school...and I hate school a lot, so idk why..I sleep at school all day anyways.

Freshmen year I only missed one day but it was a fieldtrip. The three years in junior high, I only missed 2-3 days of school. I love school, but I hate homework.

I literally never skip school. It sucks =/

Never. I missed one day freshman year because I couldn't stand up without blacking out...that's the only day I've missed in over a decade...

I'm weird.:p

Not often. I usually stay home if I'm sick but sometimes I skip if family is visiting or nothing major is going on that day.

Skip, as in not go because I don't feel like it? Never. I usually miss ~2 days a year due to sickness, ~2 due to appointment, and 5-7 half-days from track meets in the spring, but none because sleeping sounded better.

Maybe once (or less) a year...

...I don't...ever :(
would love to though

I don't think I've ever skipped school. I have missed a few half days because of braces or other random things. My junior year, I had PERFECT attendance. No absences, no tardies, nothing. I don't really care to achieve that goal again, but it was nice to get that for one year. My school still gives attendance awards to students who miss three days or less.

63?

My school has a policy, miss too many days and you loose credit.

I get close enough so I hit the limit, but don't go over each year. This year I've missed two times I think. Last year I actually went over the limit, but I got excused from the school because one day was right after my great-grandpa died and one of the others was to see a sick grandpa across the country.

This is probably a big school vs. small school thing. At my small school, they call the student's house throughout the day if the student isn't present for attendance first period. They're so - good - about it that they even find students who are actually at school. For instance, one time I was working in the lab, and I was late to my first period class. When the teacher counted me absent, it went to the office, and they noticed my parents hadn't called with an excuse. They left a message at home, and they called my dad at work. Then they finally discovered that I had actually been at school the whole time; I was just five minutes late to my first class. The lab supervisor had even written me an excuse.

So I don't think I could ever skip school and get away with it. In fact, I've never heard of anyone at my school just skipping. There has to be a parent excuse.

i rarely skip a full day of school unless i'm super sick, but i'll sometimes skip classes ("doctor's appointment") if we're not doing anything that day.

The only time I've ever actually skipped a day school was the day before the AP US History test, so I could study. Got a 5 :)

Skipping classes is a different story though...

I haven't skipped school in my high school career yet...
