How soon will we hear about admission decision?

I feel the same way as you Applejax1 about my son - not sure what the hold up is…

Nachosat8, you mentioned that your D is concerned because she knows others that have already heard. Are those people from Ohio? We know just two others at our school that applied. They are in top quintile of the school (we don’t rank because our school is so high performing…30 national merit semis finalists in class of 485 students). From what I know of those two, they have excellent records in and out of school. No word for them either. Ur school has sent just a few students to Tulane in the past five years, so maybe Tulane is just less familiar with the school. Although it is one of the top schools in the state, so I would imagine it is well known to the ad couns assigned to the region. Oh well…

A little concerned now, Gibson changed from “Complete” at 2:00 to nothing as of 5 minutes ago. Just says application 2013 or something–no status. Apparently all info on Gibson was moved to Bloomy’s page. LOL, I wish I had just waited for the hardcopy mailing, this is miserable.

2asmom, did your daughter’s acceptance state that she still needed to wait for arch decision? This is the first year arch required portfolios and said they had separate acceptance, but I am curious how the acceptance was worded.

Yeah I don’t understand what is going on with Gibson…Mine now says, under My Application, “Undergraduate Admissions (2013 Fall)”. What does this mean?

wishuponthemoon, yes that is what my daughter’s says currently also, maybe a problem with the whole Gibson site. Frustrating but I had already confirmed that application was complete with the admissions office since we sent during power outage. Or maybe they are about to post decisions!

apparently this is what the decision looks like:
http://24.media.■■■■■■■■■■/tumblr_mdsslmwb4w1qahrqfo1_500.png

So the fact it has changed to at least part of that must be good right?

That’s what I’m hoping! Daughter at play practice, so stress is all mine…

the offices probably close around 5pm their time though so i don’t know if we would hear today…

Probably not, and it sounds like they are having problems with the site, which is probably the cause of our status change, but that won’t stop me from checking several more times tonight.

Definitely problems with Gibson. This has happened before.

Gibson just posted daughter’s congratulations!! I think wishuponthemoon just accepted as well?? I will sleep better tonight, but still wondering how the architecture thing works…note on Gibson doesn’t say anything.

My Gibson turned blank before I was accepted, but there might be a system wide problem at the moment so I wouldn’t read too much into it. As to the question of checking after 5, I saw mine at 10:15-ish and I was checking fairly frequently so it must not have been up for long. It certainly was not up before 9. Good luck everyone!

If Tulane checks how many times a student account is accessed on Gibson, they would think we are out of our minds!

Wishuponthemoon - thanks for that link - nice to see what an acceptance looks like!

exlawyermomm, congratulations!!!
what did her status say prior to Undergraduate Admissions (2013 Fall)"?

When I got my acceptance it was between 8am and 1030am. So it seems like times vary

Bloomy- I was also VERY surprised at how quickly I saw my decision! My scores are by no means spectacular, so maybe it had to do with all of my extracurriculars…? If you want to see everything though, it is posted on page 47 of this thread :)

Pinkpig32 - Did you get Merit money?? What were your stats? Trying to gauge all
the possibilities. Thanks so much.

exlawyermom, congratulations!!!

Is everyone’s status here blank?

pinkpig32 - i m very encouraged after reading your stats - thanks for the info. In addition to what I previously posted, my son has 800 on SAT Math II, 770 on Math I, and an 800 on the math section of the SAT. He is president of a club, NHS, Science NHS, varsity soccer, pianist for 12+ years, has had the same job for 4 years, strong letters of rec, and also tons of community service hours including Katrina relief of building houses in NOLA this past summer - lived just blocks away from Tulane. His essays are also solid…our school doesn’t rank…

With all that said - I am perplexed why we have not heard yet…but this thread makes me feel better by permitting me to vent and follow others - thanks everyone!!!

Just checked - status is not blank - still a long list of entries of complete + incomplete application.
