raises hand

i know everyone is as nervous as HELL, but honestly just wait it out. we’ve come this far… don’t let this take over your mind :(. just wait and we’ll find out for sure. i don’t even want to check it this way. to think i could get my dream school’s rejection through an “error” is distressing to me lols

Your application ID (the 8-digit 01234567 number) and your university ID (if you do get accepted and enroll) is one and the same. I used that ID to activate my @stanford.edu email address and view the admit.stanford.edu website last year. Whether they have uploaded the IDs of the admitted students into the SUNETID system is another matter of course.

^^^OK thanks!

I take my words back that university ID and application ID are different.

haha well by this method I’m rejected. No surprise.

This is bogus. I was accepted “early approval” likely letter style, yet by this method it says i’m rejected. This does not work.

ya this DID NOT work for EA.

the method that worked goes as follows: For EA, the applicants who Already HAD an axess account (from summer college) noticed that an application status bar had appeared on their axess. Eventually, around late nov or early dec, the status changed from “application complete” to a check mark or a red x. Every applicant that had a check mark was accepted, every applicant that had a red x was denied.

However, after numerous calls to the admissions office, the status bar disappeared…

***DO NOT *** listen to the OP! He has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. This same exact thread popped up during SCEA time and it was nonsense back then to.

I was accepted but my ID didn’t work until after I got my official acceptance email. RELAX.

alright… this is comforting… now we just wait and wait and wait… :/

^^ Thanks for clarifying this, guys. Much appreciated.

Okay, this is good because it wasn’t working for me…lol. I questioned it as soon as someone mentioned it again though because I saw the SCEA post when those came out.

Anyway, do you think that Stanz may release decisions today?

Or, do we have to wait until Monday or, worse, April 1st?

We tried this early, it’s bogus. There was only one way to see your decision early and it required you to have particpated in a Stanford program that gave you access to your axess account. I don’t think it works anymore.

^Yea it doesn’t work anymore, because Stanford AO will issue you an “official” Stanford ID number in their offer letter.

(I won’t be getting one…)

like i said in the start…it doesnt work

Then that means they haven’t uploaded the list of admitted students’ information yet - they will probably go out together with the emails.

this is obviously garbage.

^AGAIN: They give you a new Stanford ID in the offer letter.

And yes, this thread is pretty much pointless, because the theory has been proven wrong before.

Wow tons of false alarms in the Stanford thread…good luck guys (and never trust 100% in someone over the internet)

IF IT SAYS WE CANNOT MAKE A NUMBER, YOU DO NOT KNOW YOUR ADMISSIONS STATUS.

I couldn’t make one up to the day before decisions came out, but I was admitted.

haha this same thing happened for UCLA admissions last week. Similar process too.
