Hi! :] I know some know me, and some don't. ^_^ I'm PUNKiiE. I'm a senior at my new high school. So here's my story (XD Doesn't that remind you of the Brady Bunch?).

The reason I transfer to a new high school that happens to be a public school in my town is because my brother disliked the old private school that we both attended, and he was not happy there, but I was. I was doing really well in that school. The old school was in CT. The admissions at my old school told me if I wanted to stay, I could be a dorm student while my brother attends a public school. I told them it would be ok if I stay as a day student, but they insisted I have to be a dorm student. My parents don't mind dropping me and my brother off at two different schools. It seems like my old school was trying to make money out of my parents to put me in as a dorm student. I have a good reason why I did not want to be a dorm student at my old school. It's because I wanted to spend time with my family before I go off to college. My brother and I are like best friends, and we hang out and play sports.>] Aren't I sweet? Anyway, I care about my family, and I want to be there for my brother before I go to college wherever I plan to go.

Now that I'm attending a public school in my town. I'm not doing well, but my brother is. I'm taking hard classes. The classes I'm taking are CP Trig, AP English, CP Accounting, HN GVT, HN PreCalc, and CP Span 3. The only classes I'm not doing well in are AP English, HN PreCalc, and CP Span 3. I know what you are thinking. Public schools are suppose to easy to some people. I'm just getting Cs in those of the three classes. There are no tests in English class. Writing essays count about 80% of the grade. I'm usually good at writing my essays at my school, but here it's really different. They want it shorter and simple sentences. HN PreCalc, the teacher puts harder questions that we never done before or see in the book. The teacher gives us listening quizzes and tests. Blah, they talk really fast. I'm not used to that. My old private school did not teach students by listening to the cd.

My question is, how do colleges look at my senior grades? I'm put a lot of effort in everything I do and ask questions that I don't understand. I don't want colleges to look at my grades and say "Oh, what a slacker! She's already slacking off in her senior year. She's number ####### slacker." >/ My first quarter grade is in Nov. If I improve my grades, and get good grades in the second quarter, would colleges think differently? The colleges (Wellesley, BU, BC, Northeastern, and others) I will be applying will all be in RD. I sometimes regret transferring because I think I would of done better if I stayed at my old school. I don't know, I think I made a huge mistake just for transferring out just to be with my family. Sorry for a wicked long post! >[
