earned by blood and toil. what would you do with it?

i'd most likely save it

i made a couple thou working last year. i saved it. my parents don't make me spend it, they want me to save it. but they take me shopping with their money whenever i get my paycheck, it's a bit strange really. not really any logic to it. if i had to spend my own money i'd still do the same stuff with it: buy clothes. i don't really buy much else. i don't buy music and i can't really think of anything else to spend my money on. it's either clothes or saving for college. books? not really...can't think of anything. maybe food, but my parents give me money for that. i don't spend that much so it's not a big deal to me.

I'd buy stuff (or have bought stuff).

Namely, Swedish Fish, Laffy Taffy, glowsticks, orange juice, sugar cookie dough...

Food and debts.

debts?
sounds like we got a gambler posting up in here.

i save all my money and will be spending it on the trip I am going on to Spain/France via school

I'd save it.

Buy music or music related items. Or, the more responsible option, save it for school.

save half and spoil myself with 0.25 and spend the last quarter on necescities. (books for school and stuff like that)

I'd probably bet on sports with it. No I'm not a compulsive gambler, I'm just good at predicting the outcome of games. I'd say I'm right about 75% of the time.

These were the predictions I made for today's games yesterday:

New York Jet/Buffalo Bills/Over
Cincinatti Bengals/Pittsburgh Steelers/Over
Jacksonville Jaguars/Indianapolis Colts/Over
Tennessee Titans/Miami Dolphins/Under
Washington Redskins/Houston Texans/Under
Chicago Bears/Minnesota Vikings/Over
Carolina Panthers/Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Over
Green Bay Packers/Detroit Lions/Under
Baltimore Ravens/Cleveland Browns/Over
St. Louis Rams/Arizona Cardinals/Under
New York Giants/Seattle Seahawks/Under
Philadelphia Eagles/San Francisco 49ers/Under

You can cross-check the outcome at this website:

For those who don't know how to check them, the totals are on the extreme right. The overs are labeled as "O" and the unders are labeled as "U". For example, the over equation for the Jets/Bills game is -105. This means you bet $1.05 to win a dollar. If I had bet the entire $500, I would've won $476.19. A total sum of $976.19.

I'd save it for my future car that I'm going to buy with my own money. I hate that some kids i know are like,"Oh, my parents are going to buy me my 1st car and X amount of stuff."

.-_-.

Save save save save save....dump it in a money market account or something. Or a CD. Or a short term treasury bond. And then when I get like a few thousand I'll invest it and then make like $10k or something, and then put it in a treasury bond hahahah....$500 guarenteed every year...hehe. And then when I become an ibanker I'll spend it to cover for the time between when I start and when I get paid.

$500 is so small it's of almost no importance. I'd probably go to a "dance" club or something with some friends and have a blast.

3x 8-balls.

^

you can get 3 balls for $500?...a ball usually runs at least 200, thats a sweet deal.

put it in a ROTH IRA retirement fund- continuosly put all your money into here, and when your 59.5 , youll be thrilled with the return

ummm I would use it to pay off my 30 parking tickets

J/K

No, ummm I'd donate it all towards raising money for my school trips out of the country. ;)

Math books. Fo'shizzle.

I did the car thing the easy way. I just simply told my parents I didn't want a car because they were expensive to buy and expensive to maintain. After several months of driving whatever car was available and having to make special arrangements, my parents decided that they'd get me a car. But I still really don't consider it my car since it's not in my name.

I used my money from work an put it in a checking account until I had enough to satisfy me. Then I started putting it in my CD savings account.

Pay off my credit card debt...

Bought a bass under the assumption someone would buy my upright... But now when I finally do sell the upright I'll have a grand just sitting there :P.
