HS JR what will my chances be next year?

Hi, I know I am still months away from applying but just wanted to get an opinion.
My current stats suck but I just want to see what you think.

HS JR
Uw GPA- 3.02 W GPA-3.45 College GPA- 3.6
29 current college credit hours, 39 and the end of this semester. Will have my AA at HS grad.
25+ service hrs and more to come in the next year.
Clubs- Speech and debate and Drama.
No SAT/ACT yet
According to PLAN test (pre act) I should get near a 25 on ACT

I know my GPA is not great and I did get a D in physics the first semester.
My dad had a stroke last year and was expected to not make it so my grades suffered last year a bit from that.
My heart is set on USF as I have family in Tampa and am in love with the city. If I don't get in my heart will be broken.

What do you guys think?

Relax, you are on the right track for gaining admission to USF. It’s not too early to take the SAT and ACT tests; try to take each twice before you send in your application in August–USF superscores the tests so taking tests more than once can help your cumulative scores. Do your best to get your GPA for the college courses you are taking above 3.00. Too, try to take dual enrollment courses that match up and fit in with the eventual major track you might take at USF to keep things smooth transitioning between schools.

your number one priority should be getting ur GPA up-- drop extracurriculars if you have to, seriously. it’s understandable that you went through hard times, but you need to also show that your grades can bounce back after something like that.

also make sure to test early so that you have PLENTY of time to re-test if you don’t score high enough. sometimes it takes FOREVER for them to get test scores and i don’t know why, but it happened to a friend of mine!

good luck!
