Most of all I just felt that a true picture of her as a student ought to, if the world was fair, include an acceptance to one of these schools. I now understand the world is not fair. So we are all the more grateful.

The sound of her soft voice on the phone and the giggle in her voice were priceless. I so wish all of you now still waiting to hear or on a waitlist a similar outcome. This community has been so supportive and wise. What a d*** roller coaster.

More and more congratulations are in order!! A huge wonderful accomplishment for your daughter!! I'll bet you'll cherish that phone call from her forever.....just to hear the joy in her voice.....

Yes, still waiting to hear from Princeton. NJ letters don't seem to have made it to CA today. Thank you all for the congrats - this is absolutely sweeter given the dual disappointments of yesterday. And I guess I did come later than most to the realization that the world is not fair.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your daughter! As you know, I am a big fan of Stanford, since my son's experience there has been so terrific! She is all set now, and if she gets into Princeton, she will have a tough choice! (I won't tell you which one I would pick :) )

What superfantastic news!!!! I can only imagine the smile that accompanied that sweet giggle! As you know, we can well relate to the sweetness of success after the bitterness of disappointment. There are not enough words to express the happiness I feel for your D at this incredible acceptance to STANFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
