Can someone staying in Hullabaloo provide insights on the dorm and layout:
- How have you liked staying there? Is it worth the extra expense over other dorms
- How many floors are there
- Do odd vs. even rooms have windows facing the courtyard / other views
- Any other advice when selecting a Hullabaloo dorm as Housing selection opens
be fast… it goes in a few minutes so really it’ll be luck if you get in and even luckier if you get a view. Being realistic.
I think there are 5 floors. And layouts should be listed in residential life for tamu site.
From our tour, it looked like they were bigger (and definitely newer) than the modulars… but the modulars were nice enough to not necessitate paying the extra for Hullabaloo in my daughter’s opinion.
Modulates are extremely old but recently renovated with wood like floors and updated. They are really big rooms too with a ton of closet space for a dorm. There are several modulars by hullabaloo so you can still enjoy the Starbucks, study corners and other amenities.
@TexasMTDad Regarding the modular dorms, some of the modular rooms are longer than others. For example, in Hobby Dorm, the even-numbered dorms are 12’x16’, but the odd-numbered rooms 12’x19’. You can look at the room dimension specs for each dorm to see the specifics.
