I am officially fat!

I just weighed myself right now!
I am is dire need of a diet..I hate those, but I have no other choice :(:(

I weigh 178.39 pounds! I was alot less than that 2 months ago.
that just goes to show you that fast food restaurants are full of ****!!! No more McDonalds/KFC/anything else for me.

are you sure? how tall are you? are you a guy or a girl? have you calculated your bmi?

I am a 5 foot 7 inches tall guy.
what's a bmi?

body mass index

check it out: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

i checked that.

it says: Overweight = 25-29.9

that calculation gave me a 26.2! :(

so I'm fat. :(

NO! WAIT! it's 29.3!!

I'm really FAT!

lol. no no, you're not fat. just a bit chubby and i'm sure if you cut back the fastfood, you'll be back to normal in no time.

yeah i guess so. but I hate it when I hear the words "nothing but healthy food". It depresses me lol. but I'll try to do something about it.

I really didn't notice a difference til today bec. i went to visit a relative who I hadn't seen in a while, and she told me that I had gained a litle weight.
oh well, I'm officially on a diet from now on :(:(

eh, diets suck. i noticed i lost a whole bunch of weight when i didn't eat out and just ate my mom's home cooked meals. maybe you should try doing that unless your mom doesn't cook...

Exercise. It gets your mind off things and relieves stress. Go jogging or lift weights.

Yes, diets do suck though it doesn't mean that you shouldn't forget about McDonalds and American junk-food :) Good, tasty, healthy dishes and a lot of running with intervals is what you need.
I'm weighing 235-240 off-season and 212 (yes, that precise, weighed that much in 8th and 9th grade's wrestling seasons) during wrestling season but there's also such thing as bone structure and broadness so I don't consider myself exceptionally fat :)
In fact, even if you're extremely tall and light lack of physical exercises and eating in McDonals is still very bad.

Doing any type of physical activity puts me in the best mood. I feel calmer, happier, and more relaxed. That's probably the best way to go.

okay, so a diet may not be the best way to go. Excersize, jogging, lifting weights..okay. what about the tredmill?

Treadmill officially sucks. Running in the rain, mud or (even better) snow and taking shower after that officially rocks.

okay, so a diet may not be the best way to go.

There's no need to diet, just don't eat in McDonalds and don't eat a lot.

okay..running.
no rain here in the summer, no snow in the winter...so mud it is!
:)

or if you can get some privacy while you exercise, turbo jam is kind of fun...

Try joining a sport or something this fall.

As far as dieting goes, I don't do much besides avoiding fast food...however, I do eat one or two Power Pops a day. They're these suckers that have this herb called hoodia, it's a natural apetite suppressor. They're completely natural (all herbal ingredients, besides food coloring and corn syrup), and they taste sooo good. I dunno all the flavors but my favorites are Butter Pecan, Root Beer Float, Mountain Berry, Pink Lemonade, and Green Apple. You can actually use them in the "Power Pop Diet", which is basically eating one with a big glass of water 30 min. before each meal...but seeing as, at 5'2'' and 90 lbs., I would probably die if I dieted, I just eat one before practice b/c they also give you energy (nothing crazy, but enough to get me through a 2.5 hour practice). Just google "power pops" to find the official website. They're kinda pricey (around $25 for a bag of 28 pops), but I think they're really worth it. Hope this helps!

why do tredmills suck by the way????

Running outside is in fact preferable to exercise machine running. But when it's really hot outside, or really cold and rainy, or when there are tons of bugs, or when you just don't feel like making yourself presentable to the outside world, the indoor exercise machine is your savior. Go ahead, call me a weakling. But if it means I get regular exercise and don't have an excuse not to run, then I'm happy!

well personally i find running on a treadmill dreadfully boring after a while...
