I chose Michigan over...

There are similar threads in other forums. What universities have all you Michigan-bound ladies and gents turned down in favor of Michigan?

University of Chicago, Vanderbilt (for less than half of Michigan's tuition), Boston College

And given the choice, I would choose Michigan over anywhere.

I chose Michigan over....oh, wait, nobody, because they all rejected/waitlisted me ::cries::.

Unless you count Eastern Michigan, which I technically got accepted to as a sophomore when I was applying for dual enrollment (as a backup to Umich).

wharton, columbia, CMU tepper/IS, UIUC, USC

to be honest, i would have gone to cornell if they had accepted me tho..those bunch of red @ssholes

Penn State!

Quite a complete list here:D.

For me I'm taking Michigan over Purdue , Indianna(Kelley direct with 28K schol) , Mcgill and University of Virginia.

UIUC, RPI, VA Tech, CMU

Wow, my list will be the lease impressive one here LOL. I chose Michigan over... Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan University (the only others I applied to). I didn't apply anywhere out of state because I wasn't in a position to move, plus I knew I didn't want to go anywhere but UM (applied elsewhere only as a backup).

UMD, Boston College, Wisconsin (all honors programs)

UMich Ross over UVa, Cornell, Emory, WashU, Wisconsin, Lehigh, NYU Stern

Vanderbilt, Purdue, Penn State

I choose University of Michigan over Notre Dame, NYU, McGill, University of Toronto, and University of British Colombia..I must say I was lured by the large city scene in New York but i knew that UM was a much better school ..and I also wanted a chance to apply to Ross during my first year

Michigan over: Emory, NYU Stern (7.5k scholarship), Lehigh, Case Western (17k scholarship), MSU.

Oh yeah, Case Western for 8K and Tulane for free (which would have been great if Katrina didn't happen the day after I got accepted...).

Son UM over:
UChicago (University Scholar $10k), Grinnell (Trustee Honor Scholar $15k), Carleton, Kalamazoo (Honor Scholar $15k)

NYU Stern ($8,000 Trustee Scholarship but very little aid, those cheapasses), UIUC (James Scholar), Penn State (Sapphire), Boston College, Rutgers (Honors)

If I could have started over again, I would have also applied to UVa, Georgetown, and Cornell

UIUC bschool (instate), Purdue (dean's scholar) bschool, WashU olin, NYU stern, Wisconsin, USC marshall (25k scholarship).

You turned down NYU Stern?????????????

Are you a Ross Pre Admit? If not, then WHY???????????
