I got in!

lenny2: Congrats and best of luck on the scholarship. If her GPA is strong, I would think the odds are pretty high for a decent offer.

congrats! i got admitted too :] at least i know i got in somewhere! takes the pressure off things

I got my letter today! I have been named a Presidential Scholar and got into the Honors Program. So excited. :)

Wow vab, that’s great. Not that I had any doubt, lol. Is it still $25,000?

How long after being accepted did you all get your letters?

Also as a quick question:

I was accepted before I got my new SAT score from october which were a {740CR, 710M, 700W} but they had my ACT score of 32. Will not having been able to send them my SAT scores affect any chances for scholarship? Also any idea if I will even get any scholarships?

Thanks

The chart I looked at said that an ACT of 32 is equivalent to an SAT of 2130. Your 2150 is virtually the same and so should not change their evaluation of your app. Good scores, btw.

Based only on your test scores and 3.78 UW GPA, you will almost certainly get a merit scholarship offer. Hard to say how much though. Maybe $15,000-$20,000. Just a guess.

Thanks for the response. I know that based on the 3 parts of the SAT, the ACT is quite close but just for the CR+M, I think it actually is closer to a 33. Probably still not a huge difference but I could really use any amount of extra money I can get :)

Also any idea on how long it takes to get the letter in the mail?

Thanks fallenchemist!

Usually about a week, sometimes two.

I think Tulane counts the writing section, so the total score is probably what they will use.

Thank you! Yes, it is still $25,000.

I found out online on Monday, and received my letter today.

My D found out on Gibson today that she was admitted! Application was complete on Tuesday. She applied SCEA. We’re very excited and looking forward to visiting Tulane very soon! Thanks to FallenChemist and all the people on this board for a ton of useful info!

aaahhhhhhhhh…the waiting stinks. S got his app in the beginning of september. gibson registered complete the friday before last, and still haven’t heard. I really do believe that he is a competitive applicant, and part of the appeal of getting everything together so early was so that we could get an early decision, take some pressure off…

I got accepted!
congrats to

I got a letter today. It just says that I have been admitted and has dates to remember. I thought it would include any offer of scholarships, or is that later.

Thanks

Linger, I just received the same thing. Just a large magnet saying Congratulations with dates to remember. I too am questioning if any scholarship letters come later? 2180 SAT from a private school with no ranking or GPA.

Has anyone received this prior to a scholarship letter or is this it?

Linger and thecrew, I got that magnet today but I also got a letter in the mail on Thursday offering me admission and a merit scholarship.

OK, so maybe there are two different mailings. Give it through this week, see what shows up.

O ok, so it should come in a different letter. Thanks

Good to know! Thanks all for the responses!! I’ll fill you in on what happens next.

i gottt innn :)

s accepted today!!!
