I got my SSAT scores today....

My daughter is 9th grader applying for 10th grade at Andover. Her SSAT average is 2271 with a SSAT percentile of 96%. She has got into 99th percentile for verbal and quantitative but her reading is low hovering around 70th percentile. I am not sure what are her chances of getting in.

She has some extra curicular talent in music and has some gold cup awards and state level awards for music composition. Will this help her ?

Her SSAT is fine. More weight will be placed on her grades, recommendations, essays, and interview...in addition to strong EC's.

I retook the ssat. I felt a bit concious with my old scores my new scores are:
Verbal:93%
Math:87%
Reading:95%
Total:94%

Now i feel more confident about getting in, I find out March 10. Thats only 6 more days.

WOOHOO!! GO YOU, PHILLIPSDREAMER!!
Those are the same scores that I got!

What happens if you do really good in the verbal and reading, and suck in the math part? Because I think that's going to happen to me when I take it...

I got a Full scholarships to phillips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I feel complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
They're also giving me dell labtop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah same for DA ^^

balletgirl, I thought you were waitlisted at Deerfield? Or are you just saying that they give a laptop with full grants?

there is no cut off for the ssat score.

i scored in the mid 80s for my overall and got accepted into choate, sps, taft and lawrenceville

however i also play hockey, lacrosse and the piano

Do you guys think I have a chance of getting into a good prep school? My SSAT practice test scores average up to about 92%. The list of the schools that I want to go to is:
Milton
Choate
Andover
Taft
Lawrenceville
I'm an Asian and I know that there's a lot of competition. But I think I have some good hooks like being the president of elementary and having a LOT of EC's.

hahaha this is an old thread :)
andover's average ssat score is a 93%
1. do you live in the states?

3. athletics?
4. clubs?
5. community service
6. grades??? <--MUY IMPORTANTE :D
7. are you applying as a freshman?

taft accepts 2-3 koreans (ethnic) per year.
lawrenceville accepts 5-6 koreans.

:]

if you're a cute little korean boy usually you have an edge

i don't know why. all the shorter skinnier boys I know who applied got into verrry good schools (which i won't say cuz then it'll be painfully obvious) it's sexist, man, sexist.
