i got off the waitlist!!

Hi,

For those who got off wait list & also applied for financial aid, has anyone received their financial aid package yet ?

Wondering how long does it take for one to receive financial aid packet after acceptance letter arrives? (my acceptance letter arrived on 5/16)

Thanks!

I got my financial aid package today (and I live in NY, so yours is probably coming).

Got off the waitlist yesterday for AEM. Needless to say, I am one happy camper.

hey congrats!! that's very exciting!!! ;)

Congrats to all...

any news? it's getting quiet on this thread...

b.u.m.p!!!!

Hi guys, does anyone know whether the waitlist is closed yet?

does anybody know how many kids were accepted off the wait list this year?

I called CAS on Thursday and they said their still taking people off the waitlist (another 45 or so) so there still taking..

has anyone heard from the hotel school?

nope... i did hear that the hotel school only accepts one or two people off the waitlist each year. there was already one person accepted on CC, so I assume that they're not accepting anymore. don't be too sad though because i heard all waitlisted people get in eventually because they get preferred transfers.

Does anyone know if CALS is taking people off?

Yeah, what about CALS, has anyone called to see whether they are still taking people off? Is there still something to hope for?

hi again, no recent news.

Undergrad admissions says they will not finalize the Class of 2011 until July 2 - for what that is worth to you...best wishes...

I Just Got In This Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never Give Up.

lmao woooooooow. That must feel good. Are you going? (What are you giving up if you do?). Congrats!!! That's completely awesome!

Actually, that's a tough call. My situation is a little bit different from that of many other people.
I applied this year as a junior, then I got wait-listed, and now I got in.
So I am choosing between my high school senior year and Cornell.
What do you think?

If you have had enough of highschool then go to Cornell. It can offer you opportunities highschool could never touch. If you could defer ur admissions for a year I would do that if you have great friends and expect to have a great senior year. Otherwise I would accept. Let's wait to see what other people say though. I would also make an independent thread about this to get more opinions. GL with the decision and CONGRATS! Getting into Cornell as a junior is ammmmazing!
