I just called the College Board to have my APs sent to UCLA, as they need them by July 15. After spending 15 minutes taking information and stuff, she tells me, Oh, by the way, we aren't sending anything until July 2 because of the recent SAT.

Seriously?

Then, she doesn't get credit card information or anything.

Will my scores be sent then? She went through all this verification stuff?
(Including: Which AP tests did you take (in 2003-4)? which I couldn't remember entirely...it is 6:30am). Anyone else have trouble with them? What happens if my scores get there late? Will I not get those units?

Yeah, I called them too, but they told me that they won't be sending scores until July 6th, and told me to call back then. It's not really our fault if our scores get in late though.

The price for these exams is exhorbitant and then they have the nerve to charge you almost the full price of the exam if you don’t have the list of 4 schools receiving scores prepared by their cut off date. Shouldn’t the cut off date for online reports be end of the school year or graduation for seniors? It’s all done by machine anyway. At the college where my son is taking dual enrollment courses, he can log in and send his own online transcripts, FOR FREE. Once the SAT test is paid for, four schools included should be included in the cost not have a two week drop dead selection date. College board sends out email notices about upcoming test sign up dates, but no notice of lack of selection for test score receivers. My son forgot about it and thought it was going to the same schools as in the past, now it will cost $45 to send to 4 schools. RIP OFF. The whole exam was only $51 and that included the test, scoring, and sending of scores. College Board is just a money grubbing companyl.

Also if you take an AP exam you pay through the nose only to get a report that has a single number grade, 1,2,3,4 or 5. You do not get a report of how many multiple choice were correct or even what the essay grade was. College Board is a rip off monopoly. Where else can one go to take an AP exam?

No idea about the last bit, but if you think the ACT/SAT is bad and money sucking… Wait for the GRE (if you take it haha…) $185 for a test, $25 per score report
