I just found out I F'd up the last thread...damn it

nice profile name, dude. i believe i still got my "we believe" t-shirt in my closet somewhere. hopefully i can put that on again next year.

anyways,

emory, usc, wake-reach
gt-slight reach
rest are matches

haha yeah, it's really unfortunate how this year has gone for sure.

and idk but i hear that DGS isn't as competitive at Illinois.

football on thanksgiving sucks today. man can't wait for texas texas a & m.

and a georgia tech chance. hah

Emory and USC are both excellent schools, and your stats may be on the lower end. The other schools look like matches for you. I especially liked your work experience and the fact that you felt confident about your essays and recommendations, which count for more than many people think. The Hispanic background is definitely a hook, because as a URM, it should merit extra attention to your application. Make sure you exploit (I know it has a negative connotation) any advantages you may have, because the college application/review process is very competitive.

If you don't get into Emory you can still go to Oxford at Emory and go to Emory after the first two years. Either way, I think you have a good shot at all of these.

Well, my input should be regarded as useless because I don't know much on these places, but you seem like an overall well rounded guy.

You should be able to get in, your stuff seems "legit". good luck man

your pretty solid; of course being hispanic does help a lot...

your borderline on emory, but you should def. get into Oxford.

so let me see if i can get this right then:

matches/in: wisconsin, oxford, Illinois (DGS), georgia tech

high match: wake forest

and reach: usc and emory.

and yeah i guess i did chance myself in taht above haha but i'm very happy that i'm now in a title game next weekend, so i'll take all the chances i can get

THANKS FOR THE CHANCE!

wake forest - reach
oxford college of emory - high match
usc- reach cuz ur out of state

haha thank you, but i'm instate for southern cal.

and more responses concerning georgia tech would be greatly appreciated

thank you

More Georgia Tech and DGS @ Illinois please!

Thank you for chancing me! Your board scores are pretty good w/ a 1330 but your ec's may be just a little weak. Do you have any community service? That would def. boost your chances. If so, I would say that your reaches would be Emory and SC.

no prob. i'll chance whoever would like to be chanced.

i do have 75 hours of comm. service over 3 years, and i did get 2 awards. i was a team captain in football and track, and i took summer school classes at a CC

hmm i only know USC and wake forest. i would call USC a reach and wake forest a high match. good luck, though! your essays may push you over! :)

Wisconsin- Match
Illinois- I don't know much about Illinois, but it is probably a match
Wake Forest- High Match/Low Reach
Oxford@Emory- Match
Georgia Tech- Match
USC- Reach (but you have better chances being In-State)

I don't know very much about alot of those schools. I know that Cal and Emory might be reaches. Being hispanic will DEFINITELY help though, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

emory and wake are reaches, but not huge reaches. the rest you should have a decent shot at.

thanks everyone. And more chances for my two top choices: Georgia Tech and Illinois DGS!

umm i would chance you but i've seriously never heard of these colleges :(
Though everything looks pretty good :)
