<p>I got my letter from the University of Pittsburgh on Friday. I have wanted to go here since I was seven, so you can probably figure out what my house was like. Okay, but now what do I do? My mom wants me to send in my enrollment form and deposit tomorrow and I agree. But I sent in 5 other appilcations. Do I have to cancel them or do I just ignore them. Neither of my parents when to college so they're as confused as me!

<p>If you're definitely going to Pittsburgh, then send in your forms. It would only be polite to withdraw your other applications, which you can do with an e-mail to the admissions offices, so that the admissions staff doesn't waste time on it.</p>
<p>Reason to wait: you don't say whether financial aid will be a factor, but you may want to be able to compare packages from the various schools</p>
<p>Reason not to wait: if you are absolutely certain Pitt is it for you (also financially) and housing is first-come, first-serve.</p>
<p>If you decide to accept Pitt's offer and send in the deposit, it would be courteous to contact the other colleges and let them know of your decision.</p>

<p>I submitted my app September 10th</p>
<p>I thought sending them out on the 5th, which I thought was weird because its Sunday, but my mom called me while I was waiting for her to pick me up, and told me I got something from Pitt admissions. She came down to my school and stuck the envelope out the window! Just a note, envelope has congratulations in big blue letters across the bottom! You can't miss it! I submitted my app on June 21 on a visit day, but I don't know if that has anything to do with why I got mine.
I've wanted to go to Pitt since my cousin went there. She was a cheerleader, so we got tickets to football and (though I don't know how) basketball games. I know Oakland like the back of my hand. I have a collection of little stuffed Pitt Panthers, including one that plays "Hail to Pitt", which by the way, is my ring tone now and I refuse to go near "Happy Valley"! :) I'm sending that form in ASAP!

<p>Nice to see happy news on CC early. I might wait to see what happens a bit, unless there is no chance. In that case, follow the advice above, notify the no's and accept Pitt.</p>
<p>Thanks Teazer_9009! I guess since you submitted yours about 1.5 months before mine they prob. do it by date preference or something like that. I'm just pretty excited to get my admissions decisions too. It's such an amazing school, congrats to you!</p>
<p>Thanks! My friend submitted hers in mid-july, so I think she might be hearing from Pitt within the week. I think. I'm not sure...</p>
