I need a letter of recommendation!

So I'm currently trying to transfer to Georgetown University from the Catholic University of America. One of the requirements for G-Town is a Dean's report, which includes a section where he or she writes some comments on the applicant, so basically it has to be someone who knows me pretty well.

The problem is that the only Dean I know is the dean of ADMISSIONS. She is basically the one who gave me the opportunity to attend CUA. Would it look too bad if I asked her to do this for me so I can leave the school?

You don’t really need a letter from your dean. You just need them to basically check off the box that says you are “in good standing”. Colleges realize that at most schools, the dean has no relationship with the vast majority of the students.
