I will turn down Harvard for ______________.

Carnut - I don't know your family finances but we make 1/4 of what your family makes. We live in the NYC suburbs, have a house with a yard and five bedrooms, and two cars. We don't save a lot, but we do have savings. If I had an extra $300,000 to throw around there is no way I'd be in debt for college educations. Families making more than $180,000 may still get partial aid.

Carnut, you are joking right?

Haha, if I get into all the schools I'm applying to, I might turn down Harvard for MIT or Stanford. But since Harvard announced their new Fin Aid information, I'm not so sure anymore.

Yale, without thought.

Although I'd probably break my parents' hearts if I did that.

I will turn down Harvard for ten millions dollars.

Duke with Robertson

i will turn down harvard for Georgetown School of Foreign Service!
=]

I will turn down Harvard for South Harmon Institute of Technology!!!

^^^haha that movie was great!!

lol I remember thinking I was a BAMF for saying "yeah I'll turn down harvard for princeton and MIT any day of the week."

Things change once you receive an actual acceptance letter with generous aid and the like.

I Shall never turn down Harvard...

If you turn down Harvard you are an e-d-ot and deserve to go to Yale...

Haha ^, It depends on your chosen field of study. I think I cold understand someone turning down Harvard for UPenn@Wharton if they wanted to go in to business. But, you're right, I don't think I could ever turn down the big H.

Turn down Harvard? Never.

East Squealing Pig Baptist Technical Community College.

:)

...for a full-ride to a "good" university

Most people seem to be preferring harvard here, but it's the H forum, so...

either way, most people seem to be preferring harvard here, but it's the H forum, so...

I think thats more of a national thing, check some statistics.

Obviously that was a joke, wherever you read it. The real reason I didn't get in is obvious. It's all about the supplements.

in my opinion, they're all amazing schools. whether you end up at harvard, yale or any other college out there you will become a successful person if you work hard and follow your dreams. its really not the school that makes the person. the person makes the person.
