I'm currently doing the IB diploma program. However, I just realized that I have over 30 service hours left. Since I've got my mock exams next week, and the hours are sent to the IBO in the first week of march, I've got Feb to complete my the hours. HOWEVER, in case I dont complete them (GOD HELP ME!!!) I wont be getting the diploma, and will end up with an IB certificate only.
I got in ED. So will Cornell really care?

i'm sure you'll be able to complete them in a month! 30 hours really isn't much.

dude if youre already in..who gives a crap as long as you graduate it wont matter what kind of diploma you get

There really is no excuse for you not doing them. I mean, you've had almost 2 years to do only 50 hours of service...

That's True... 2 friends and I filmed a documentary-type video last year. Unfortunately, I foolishly handed the film over to one of them, and he lost it late last year. Good-bye hours... But we're planning of filming it again in the week after our mock exams.

Dude the kind of crap that they will let you count for CAS, at least at my school, is ridiculous. Theres no way you arent gonna be able to come up with enough.

same here perro406

haha mock exams next week. my school has them in december so that theres more time to work on portfolios :)

perro406: I wish I could say the same for my school. They're so damn stingy with hours! Thankfully, according to my calculations I should be able to complete my CAS commitment in Feb.

i went to this interschool student council meeting...and saw 4 guys that are totally new...So I asked them if they're in the council...they said "no, i'm just gonna sit here for CAS hours" haha

I should have done that when i had the chance... but I didnt wanna waste precious time. I had better things to do than just sit around earning hours.
And Now, I have to pay the price.
