I'll chance you back even if you insult me!

i’d say you have a solid shot at all the schools. SATs are a little low but im sure everything else helps negate that–schools no that some people arent great standardized test takers so you clearly show that and you showed that you studied improved which is always a plus! good look def a shot at each school–Harvard you’re most difficult one

Reaches for the Ivies, though you are definitely competitive. Good job on your improvement in your SAT scores :-). I can see you being admitted to Duke as well as the others. Thanks for chancing me.

everything except harvard princeton columbia

i think youre solid for every school on there except for harvard/ princeton where your SATs will hurt you more. your ECs help in most of the other top schools listed, making it easier to ignore those scores. I’d say 50-75% chance for cornell depending on what college youre applying to. william and mary and NYU should be just fine. and your back up schools are back up for a reason!

-William and Mary - match/in
-Columbia - reach
-Cornell - low reach
-Duke - low reach
-Harvard - high reach
-NYU - match
-Princeton - high reach
-UVA - match/in
-Virginia Tech - in
-VCU (back up school) - safety

Your profile is good, but SAT is too low for an unhooked applicant to top Ivies. Try to streamline your EC’s to some main ones, and focus on those in your essays/apps, and you’ll have a shot. Good luck!

I’d shoot for Cornell, I think that is the best fit for your outstanding EC’s and good (but not stellar) test scores. But it depends a great deal where you live, if you’re applying to Harvard from Wyoming, you’ve got an excellent chance, if you’re applying from the Mid-Atlantic, there are probably many students with higher test scores and equally impressive EC’s that could beat you out (obviously I’m generalizing, but you’re evaluated in the context of your region).

-William and Mary-match
-Columbia,Harverd,Princton- these top ivies are always a flip of the coin but i think you have a great chance atleast getting into one.
-Cornell-match/low reach
-Duke-match/low reach
-NYU-match
-UVA-match/ slight low reach
-Virginia Tech- in, i would consider this your safety school unless applying for honors engineer program which is very competitive
-VCU (back up school)-definitly in

wow extremely impressive…

Virginia Tech-in
Columbia-in
Harvard- medium reach
Duke- in
NYU- in
VCU- in
Princeton- medium reach
William and Mary- in

rate me please!

-William and Mary: In
-Columbia: Low Reach
-Cornell: Match
-Duke: Low Reach
-Harvard: Huge Reach like everyone
-NYU: In
-Princeton: High reach
-UVA: Match
-Virginia Tech: In
-VCU (back up school): In

At first glance on ure stats, Id say many of those top schools were definite nos. Then i scrolled down to ure awards and EC’s and that shakes things up a LOT. I’d say you have good chances at being accepted into any of those top schools like duke, etc, but i cant point out which ones. I can tell you you shouldnt worry about anything if you’re happy with most of those schools.

-William and Mary - in
-Columbia - mid reach
-Cornell - high match
-Duke - low reach
-Harvard - high reach
-NYU - in
-Princeton - high reach
-UVA - match
-Virginia Tech - match (in?)
-VCU (back up school) - in

I would say you have a chance at harvard and princeton, your experience moving will set you apart from the rest.

Chance me back!

Your EC looks great…

But what about your awards?
I would work hard to get those scores and GPA/rank up.

All those schools you are applying for are extremely competitive. There are a lot of CA kids applying to all of them and so you’re going to have numerous competition. Without those scores and GPA up, you won’t have much of a chance unless you have strong ties with those colleges.

W&M- match
Columbia- reachy
Cornell- high match
Duke- reachy (only a little)
Harvard- reach
NYU- low match
Princeton- reach
UVA- match
Virginia teach- safety
VCU- safety

thanks i will senior year i have 4 aps so studying to get a good grade, and anytips to get a good score on act
well i got 2nd place at church essay competition
hardest worker award for 10thgrade english
honorable mention for photography in a competition
junior honor escort for being in top 40

I suggest you take more AP classes if they are offered because your school grades aren’t looking too hot and there’s only so much you can do to up your GPA with senior year classes only. Remember that colleges see your year grades for each of your courses since 9th grade so you better make that transcript look good.

I didn’t take the ACTs. I took SATs despite the fact that I did much better on the ACT. All I can suggest to you is to study like CRAZY over summer break; take as many practice ACT tests as you can and read through as many books as you can. Same for the subject tests too. To up your chances, I suggest you take SAT Reasoning Test and retake your SAT II tests. Try to get involved in more competitions to snag more awards and towards the middle of summer break when all the colleges being to put out their essays, get to work!!! Oh, and think about starting the Common App NOW. You will thank me.

i am senior now

Well, get studying & if you have to, take a day off from school to study.

Other than that…
I apparently did well on my SATs when I was rushing to get to the testing center XD
