I'm about to get rejected due to incomplete application,,,,

I got an email from wisconsin madison regarding an incomplete application at 27th of March, so on that day, I asked my high school counselor to send a copy of my IGCSE and A level results. I wrote down the email address and mailing address, so he said "I'll sort this out, don't worry". (BTW he sent them twice~)

I waited and waited,,,,,, BUT the 'requested' status did not change to 'received' until 10th of march which is the deadline of submitting the incomplete application. I called the admission office at 10th of March and told my situation to the admission counselor. She said "I'll speak to the senior admission officer and ask her whether she can extend the deadline for you". Later on, she sent an email "I am very sorry for the inconvenience and hope that you may consider us as a transfer option. Also, we don’t have sufficient time to review your application". The next day, I called my high school counselor and he told me that he already asked the U.S. Consulate General in New Zealand to persuade the admission officers. My high school counselor said “I cannot guarantee though,,,,”

I followed the words as they instructed. I put my heart into the essays and worked really hard to prepare for this moment.

All my time and efforts to get into UWM are about to vanish.

So worried right now,,,,,

It isn’t a matter of deserving.

I don’t know what to do now,

That bites…hang in there.
Didn’t you HS counsellor send the IGCSE and A Level certificates along with the recommendation through the commonapp school forms?

hi @EarlyAction95

My HS Counselor sent an envelope including transcipt, rec form, school profile and NZ University Entrance certificate but not A level certificate because the official certificate has not come out (I took the 2013 Nov A level exam, so the official certificate comes out like after 4-5 month). Therefore, there is no need for my HS counselor to send mail. That’s why he sent by email with a copy of the A level results with his signature on.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING~~~!!! LOL

@tbtehfdl77 - in that case, your counsellor should have sent the A Level predicted grades in the envelope. That would have sufficed. I’m an international as well and that is what my school and a majority of other international schools do.

You say that your HS counsellor emailed the results twice and the uni still didn’t receive them? Something does’t sound right… Did the counsellor add your common app id in the email? along with your full name, date of birth and email id?

If he sent them through email then the uni almost definitely has them, but the documents have been misplaced.
The simplest way would have been to tell your counsellor to CC you in the email he sent to the uni. That way you would have known when he sent the email, if he did, and you would have had proof that he did send the documents.
Anyhoo, good luck! Hopefully you applied to more unis that will accept you :D

it seems like a misunderstanding - didn’t your counselor send your A Level predicted results?
Can you call UWI and ask them to check whether perhaps a document was filed under something else than “predicted ALevels”?
Typically the copy of the actual results aren’t expected until after your admission.
