I'm IN!

I wanna go visit now! LOL IU has won the key to my heart just by getting back to me SO FAST!

LOL! I need to visit IU. Probably going to a Freshman Forum, although going to the Indiana vs. Connecticut basketball game is going to be a priority, lol.

what are all your stats who have been admitted. I was just rejected from Penn State which kinda shocked me. I have a 1310 SAT and decent grades.

I got accepted a few weeks ago. In-state. I also got accepted to Kelley. Everyone from my school goes to IU. Both of my parents, all of my grandparets, etc.

Stats for the heck:
ACT - 33
Bunch of APs and college classes
3.8 gpa

Does anyone know when the scholarship decisions come back?

which scholarships, kelley direct admit scholarships or the SSA scholarships? kelley direct i tink we get em automatically ( except some scholarships e.g. mitte scholarship) witout application and are sent out i tink in spring around when financial aid awards come out and the SSA scholarships are sent out starting january, thats what the HHC undergraduate director said regarding SSA scholarhips. hope tat helps :)

that does help... thank you

so we only hear about scholarships from the IU packet if we've applied to kelley?

its like this, the scholarships you recieve from your official acceptance letter are AUTOMATIC general admissions scholarships. if u applied to kelley and recieved direct admit, the automatic scholarships related to the business school will be sent to u or announced sometime in spring, and the mitte scholarship and the indiana advantage scholarships are special business scholarships in which you have to apply for. -.-"

So what i'm hearing, is that there are more scholarships through the Kelley Early Admit program, other than the Kelley Scholars and the Mitte Scholars, that you will automatically be considered for if you get into Kelley early admit?

Can anyone else confirm this? Does this apply to people who didn't receive the SSA?

um ya il give u the link : http://www.kelley.iu.edu/UGrad/scholarships/schol_fresh.cfm, i TINK they use the SSA application to determine which automatic scholarships u recieve but im not 100% sure exactly how Kelley determines who gets wut and how much.

Great! This will definitely help! A lot of them are renewable, and they are all in good amounts. I never thought of this as an option.

I'm also going to send in my Senior year transcript and try to get more money from them. I got a 6K per year, shooting for that 7K, lol.

wen u chek tat list of business scholarships make sure you read em all if you got the time, the scholarships are categorized by instate/outofstate, type of business major, race/gender. so you kno heads up which ones you can possibly get hope tat helps.

are u gona file fafsa A2wolves? if u get it in early i heard that u have better chance of IUB giving u good aid. :)

Great... I just looked at all those scholarships, and I only qualify for 2 of them, and of those two, they have one of the requirements listed as (Discretionary).

So i'm not getting any scholarships.

I will be filing the FAFSA January 2nd.

sorry to burst ur bubble dude...

LOL, it wouldn't be a problem if the ACT hadn't given me a 29 instead of a 30, because I would be getting a full ride then (Kelley Scholars).

didnt u get to retake it? or was tat 29 literally the last time you cud take it?

I only took it once, but I thought that was about as good as I could do. I took it at the end of the junior year, and by the time senior year hit, I just started thinking about colleges, and I was too late on the test retakes and the scholarships. I was going to do the Wells Scholarship program, but I didn't think my ACT was high enough, and the forms were due before I could retake. I didn't even know about the early admit until an admissions representative came to my school, and he told me that this is what I should do. By that time, it was too late to re-take it.

So I screwed up, because I was confused about my plans.

when did u first discover IUB and when did u decide to apply to it? dude man if u had searched their website and all you would have had a MUCH better shot with the scholarships stuff and the honors college! man u shoulda retook act, cuz no matter how many times u take it, i tink u onli send ur HIGHEST score!!! do michigan students take sati? i heard usually midwest kids take act cuz out here on west coast people prety much prep for the sat's i tink east coast too.
