i applied early.. they are reviewing my application now.

Howdy! Glad you applied- A&M is a great school. Knowing only those numbers, I'd say that you have a decent shot at admission, unless there is something big and bad you haven't disclosed. No need to shake in your boots. I've applied and have been admitted, and I'll probably attend for 2009. I hope to see you there!

i'm terrible at chancing, but just wanted to assure you that you definitely aren't the only nervous one. i've been sweating buckets since november :/

When did you find out? I am understanding that most if they did not hear in the first process (top 10%)......don't hear until the middle of May.

You will get an admission decision by April at the latest. This is because May 1st is the national commitment date for accepting your admission to one college. You will either be accepted, wait-listed (which may include an offer to sign-up for the Blinn Team option), or denied. If you are wait-listed, then you may not hear a final decision until the summer.

If you are waitlisted......and you chose the Blinn Team. What are you chances over just being waitlisted only for Texas A & M? How many fromt he waitlist are accepted for either Texas A &M or the Blinn Team?

From what I have read, A&M is shooting for a freshman class of about 8100. Historically, they have about 60% of the admitted applicants actually commit to attending A&M. In anticipation of that percentage, they offer admission to about 11,000 applicants initially. They will know their final number of acceptances of admission after the May 1st deadline. After that, if they haven't filled their quota, they then go to the wait-list. From there, they go to the wait-listed students who said they would accept Blinn Team and start offering them that option until those spots are filled.

Of the 8100 freshman class, about 60% (around 4850) are from Top 10% and Automatic Admit. That leaves about 40% of the incoming freshman class coming from the review admits. I'm sure there are many Top 10% applicants who put their applications into both A&M and UT just because they know they are sure things, but who didn't have them as their top choice.

does anybody know if they will review an updated transcript? i know it says they are reviewing credentials received by 1/28, but i just got a much higher act score. if i send it.. will they accept it?

ACT and I had a huge problem that ACT wouldnt fixed. And I thought my scores were sent in NOV but ACT never sent them and I found out 3 months later... I called TAMU office on a Friday and they DIDNT HAVE MY SCORES!!! I was so worried and I emailed someone who said that they wouldnt put them into the computer if they arrived. BUTTTTTT.... my dad called and talked to them and before he could complain my scores were THERE!!!

so I BET they would put your scores into the computer to be looked at under review :]
