Impending retirement guilt

In that case two weeks is more than generous.

Two weeks seems fineā€¦ and if the coworkers that may need prep get a heads up earlier, thatā€™s thoughtful too.

I gave two monthsā€™ notice at my last professional position, but it was a small company and I had all the historical memory as to how everything was done. A week after I gave notice, the owner fired the operations manager for a racist attack on a coworker, so I was the de facto manager during the rest of my tenure.

Decided not to stay and take that role instead.

After several years I went to work PT at my synagogue, but left after a couple years. I just started volunteering there again, one day a week for a couple hours. This time around, no politics and I just do what Iā€™m told. Itā€™s good to see friends, too.

Thereā€™s going to be a kosher Meals on Wheels starting in our area. May do that, too.

Have been running a volunteer quilting group for seven years and we make quilts for a local womenā€™s shelter.

If I can get my ortho issues stabilized, Iā€™d go work at the local quilt shop. The flexibility to travel when we want is so nice, though! (H is still working, but has good vacation benefits.)

I havenā€™t worked for pay in almost five years, but I
canā€™t describe myself as retired. Iā€™m too busy!
