****Important for those who want to go to medical school and are attending UD***

There is:

Medical Scholars
The Medical Scholars Program is an excellent opportunity for academically competitive students who wish to pursue careers in the medical profession. Successful participation in the Medical Scholars Program leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Delaware and the M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.

What are the criteria for acceptance into the Interest Group of the Medical Scholars Program (MSP)?

approximately 1200 SATs;
B+ in high school studies (math, science, social science and humanities, foreign language);
commitment to health care related career;
a GPA of 3.5 in both science courses and overall by the time the student is selected at the end of sophomore year.

I hope someone will find this useful!

I know a lot of students who did this program and there is a conditional MCAT score of I believe 28 or 29. It is competitive and I believe you have to interview. The people I know who did this did go to Jefferson Medical and have really enjoyed their time there. I know one gentleman who opted out of it his senior year and went to Wash U. in St. Louis Medical.
