<p>I think you’re more likely to get answers from TPTB if you post in Community and Forum Issues. There are a few threads there discussing the changes. </p>
<p>The “Colleges and Universities” pages are completely ruined, since there is now no visible indication of which colleges have new posts. </p>
<p>^^Compmom, I think there are two types of message venues attached to everyone’s profile: one is supposedly private and the other is available to the general public just by visiting your profile and posting there. Private messages are sent by a separate drop-down menu and should only be accessible by the recipient. I sure hope that is still the case!</p>
<p>Referriing back to my post about being able to read other members’ private messages,I have been told that these are “visitor messages”, not “private messages” that I was seeing. </p>
<p>There is another thread on the Community Forum issues section. The admins have been posting there. </p>
<p>I will say…I think it’s confusing to have a bunch of different threads about this forum change, two in the Parents Gorum alone. I feel like I have to check a bunch of different places to see if my questions have been answered.</p>
<p>I just checked my own Profile. What are “points”? And to be honest, I don’t care how many “likes” I’ve gotten on posts. Get rid of those features and use the power to fix the things a site REALLY needs.</p>
<p>And another thing…why would anyone need a pop up notification AND a PM number right next to each other? If I have a number next to my little PM envelope, I’m smart enought to KNOW that I have a PM. I don’t need a notification for that. I turned it off…but it’s not essential.</p>
<p>And I agree…why do folks need to see that I am a Senior Member twice…once in black and once in grey? Seriously…that is a waste.</p>
<p>@ct1417, on the MAC I simply press Command and the + sign to make larger type. It’s very easy and I use it all the time, must be that my eyes are going!</p>
<p>@DebmomNY–I do that for some pages, but that requires two fingers! I find it faster to tap the little A A that I have on the toolbar. As I am sitting here, I can’t remember why I will sometimes use the Command + instead of tapping the A A, but the latter does not always work. It seems to vary by site.</p>
<p>I posted this in the Cafe…but I’ll post it here too. There is no “wow” factor with this new roll out. I don’t hear anyone saying “WOW, this is such an improvement!” </p>
<p>The only “wow” discussions seem to be about pictures of dogs being used as avatars.</p>
<p>Thanks @ct1417, I just added A A to my “custom toolbar”! Never used that feature before. Learn something new everyday!</p>

<p>@MJMAMA–and if you go too far with command + and the text & images become just too large, you can use command minus (immediately to the left of +) to reduce the sizes. Some sites have a bit of a lag and I am a bit impatient, so hitting + three times may result in too large a view. </p>
<p>@DebmomNY–my boys taught me anything I know. They sometimes observe me doing things that have known shortcuts and attempt to teach me, but I resist. They use all sorts of command & one letter, but I ignore their suggestions other than command C and command P for copy and paste when I am trying to move large batches of photos. I realize that their suggestions are all useful but I can only remember so much! Oh, and Command A for all.</p>
<p>@CT1417, thank you! I got my son’s hand me down macbook without a tutorial-I don’t even know how to use a custom tool bar! Now that I’ve increased the font, the white is not so blinding(and I don’t need my reading glasses!). </p>

<p>How do we delete our private messages? I can’t find the delete button. </p>
<p>Latest Posts is also not working properly. It doesn’t show all. The latest post was 11:26, but there were a lot of posts after 11:26 and they didn’t show up.</p>
