does anyone else feel like rutgers is only like 20% white?? when i went on the tour it sure felt like it. most of the kids i saw around campus were not white...does anyone have a chart of like the precent of ethnic backgrounds at rutgers?
BTW i'm talking about the New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses.

rutgers is a very diverse school and they actually take ethnicity into consideration when looking at applications. the diversity is supposed to be a GOOD thing, not something to boggle your mind. its one of those things people sometimes look for when it comes down to choosing a school.

collegeboard has ethnicity percentages and caucasions outweigh the other ethnicities at the new brunswick campus.

These statistics are for the Fall 2006 class:

If I'm not mistaken, caucasians make up a little over 50% of the population. I guess it depends on the campus that you toured. If you were around Busch, for example, it isn't uncommon to find many asians (Chinese, Filippinos, Indians). Hope I didn't come off sounding ignorant because of this comment...yikes! I personally do not see anything wrong with the diversity. That's one reason why I chose Rutgers.

If you want to go to a state college where whites make up more than 70% of the student body, go one state over to Penn State - University Park.
