Indirectly Given my admission decision

A while ago cornell requested some addtional tax forms. you guys think thats a good sign for tomorrow or meaningless?

its meaningless, cornell's financial aid and admissions office are completely seperate, "need-blind admission" if you will, so it means nothing

the same thing happened to me back in the days of ED

rats........

well, I got in ED, if that helps

i'm not totally sure, but it might be good news.
the day before (Tues 3/29) Tufts asked me to send my financial aid info, since I forgot to send hardcopies of my tax forms, and then just yesterday (3/30) i got my Tufts acceptance.

no, it doesn't mean anything :(
fin aid and admissions are completely seperate. I got asked for more tax info a couple days before MIT rejected me.

For certain schools, it may mean something as opposed to others. How long ago did the office of financial aid ask you for additional information? If it was a couple of months ago, then it may not mean that much because they may have just wanted to make sure that if you apply for aid, you get it completely. However, if they requested this from you this week or so, then it may mean a lot.

nope means nothing lol. unless SDMA knows something I dont. but admissions are need blind. your app and F-Aid are separated when your app arrives.

Well, it may not mean anything. However, I got a call from a financial aid officer at Cornell the day before yesterday telling me that more tax information was needed. And, I got accepted today.

yeah i ended up getting accepted too. it doesn't make sense that they would make a fin aid package for every applicant. that would seem like a huge waste of time. well i guess for next years applicants don't complete your tax forms if you want to find out a little early haha.
